  help them make safe choices\, tools that build their awareness\, tools th

  they will carry with them where they go. Start building their safety tool
 box today! The Child Safety & Self-Defense course is designed for children
  in kindergarten through 5th grade and will provide your child with vital 
 safety skills while building their belief in themselves. In this fun and i
 nteractive course they will practice using their voices effectively\, lear
 ning how to call for assistance loudly and clearly to attract attention an
 d deter potential threats. They will practice using distance to avoid thre
 ats. They will learn how to deal with emergency situations including takin
 g part in 911 practice drills. Kids participate in fun yet purposeful exer
 cises where they will also learn physical techniques including basic strik
 es and anti-abduction techniques. The kids will finish the course equipped
  with practical skills and confidence which empowers them to identify pote
 ntial risks while remaining calm and taking decisive action. Wear comforta
 ble clothes and bring a water bottle. Each child participating will requir
 e a ticket. Parents in attendance do not require a ticket. Tickets are $49
 .00.
